- Higher estrogen levels also may play a role. Higher incidence of stomach cancer in young females points to the probable causative role of estrogen.
- Lifestyle factors ( smoking, alcohol, redmeat, salted/ smoked food) and industrial pollutants also play a role just like they do in older patients.
Are stomach cancer detected in young the same as those found in older individuals?
Stomach cancers in young individuals are more common in females, more aggressive and found at advanced stages when compared to older patients.
How do you detect stomach cancer?

Stomach cancer is discovered when a patient seeks medical attention for indications or symptoms in most cases. More examinations and testing will be required to make a definitive diagnosis of stomach cancer .
