Recovery:

Due to the tube inserted down your throat during surgery, you can also have a sore throat. Typically, these issues resolve rapidly. 

You may have a couple of small tubes coming out of your tummy and a small tube through your nose to decompress your stomach.  These tubes are usually removed 5-6 days after surgery. 

You’ll get instructions from your doctor on how to care for yourself at home. Make sure you carefully follow these directions. You may need to rest for a few weeks and refrain from carrying anything heavy.

Driving must also be avoided until your physician gives the all-clear. All of your follow-up visits with your doctor must be kept for them to monitor your recovery and ensure there are no issues.

Many different forms of cancer may be successfully treated with laparoscopic surgery. Compared to open surgery, it offers several advantages, including less discomfort, quicker recovery, and fewer, more minor scars.
